In the midst of my holiday travel, I completely forgot I pick a word until the drive home. Sometimes my word for the year is 2 words and this year it is REMEMBER and OPEN. Remember where I’ve been and be open to what’s ahead.

Lovely! I've also had years where two words felt right.

GROUND:

Connecting with the ground of my being. Finding solid ground for the living of these days. Planting myself in rich soil in which to grow.

I waffled this year, landing just before 2026 on acceptance, a word I have carried before I believe. This word feels key, so hope springs.

My word this year is WEND: to go in a specified direction, typically slowly or by an indirect route.

And ease is so much a part of that, too.

Love that! What a beautiful sentiment to slowly move towards something, albiet indirectly. Makes me think of meandering and wondering and noticing along the way.

Yes! I'm really leaning into the slow wander this year, all while moving toward more creativity, poetry, and community ❤️

That was my word a couple of years ago—sounds very restful and supportive.

EASE is a gorgeous word! Mine this year is two, but inspired by E.M. Forster I'm doing ONLY CONNECT. Looking forward to the restart of your podcast!
