this year i landed on ‘enchantment’ — times are tough so i don’t want to lose sight of the great pleasure and delight of this life. and maybe even discover a bit of magic, too ✨
Mine is “align.” This year is about aligning my life, my work, and my choices with what feels most true and intuitive to me. Not shapeshifting for someone else’s expectations or needs!
This is where I'm at this morning, this month, this year. My word, which I'd almost forgotten already, is cozy. Thank you for the reminder to lean into that.
We often associate cozy with the cooler months, but I like the idea of embracing it year-round as a way to lean into what makes us feel comfortable and tended to.
Wonder. It's what carried me through my childhood, it's what healed me in adulthood, it's what keeps me grounded to my purpose and my path. To find wonder in each day, in the trees, a sunset, a waning moon still bright in the early morning hours, a shooting star, a peek of green beneath the snow, to feel its moment of awe is like a gift from the universe. It's what continues to help me write my memoir.
Hi Nicole, my word for this year is surrender. There are so many big things I cannot control so I’m going to give way to those. What I can control is my own choices and my own perceptions and my own behaviours. I will focus on those.
ooooh love that. And it's such a good reminder—we can control only our response, choices, and behaviors in the midst of whatever comes. Thanks for sharing!
Soft was my word last year! Simple, this. ✨

Oh lovely! Have you read Katherine May's book by the same name? Might be a nice companion to your year.
yes, it was 100% the inspo!
Love that your word is soft. We need softness.

What I like about that word is it feels both sturdy and flexible, if that makes sense. And I'm all for releasing other people's expectations!

I think we could all use some extra wonder in our day-to-day. Lovely!

My word is INSPIRATION: to breathe, to allow the creator within to come without to fuel my writing and creativity.
My word for this year is EXPAND: to increase, widen, develop, and stretch my writing and words.
Beautiful!
