I love the cocoon idea - that feels so cozy, and relates to the postcard writing rather than other types of activism. I have LOVED the letter-writing this time around with Voter Forward and Moms Rising. I will look into the one you mentioned as well. I did go door-knocking in PA last weekend with a broken toe, but for sure the letter writing feels the most aligned. I really love your message of trying but not pushing, accepting where we are and like you say, naming it. It's funny because I'm so often getting myself into the mindset that NOW things are finally going to hit, and rejections start pouring in and I kind of have to laugh. You've captured so much here as you always do.

oooh how was door-knocking? I'm too nervous to talk with strangers but give me a letter-writing campaign and I'm in!

It was a long, exhausting day but connecting with people was the best part of it. There were some door slams and "go aways" but nothing too crazy thank goodness. Letter-writing is a joy but I definitely prefer in-person to phone banking. That to me is the scariest!!

For what it's worth, this newsletter feels a little lighter than some. The shifts you're feeling are coming through! XO

Just wait until I share what happened in my pottery class, haha! But very glad some lightness is peeking through.
