I appreciate the reminder that a writing project is just that - a project - and it takes time. I love hearing about writers that have taken years to complete a work. It puts all the effort into perspective for me.
That is something to be so proud of! I’ve been bumbling alone with my novel drafts and I keep questioning if it is this hard for everyone, and if others have a fortitude I’m lacking. Possibly the hardest thing I’ve ever done (certainly makes marathon training feel like a straight-forward breeze)? Thanks for showing us how you made it through.
I love this so much. I've been working on my story since 2017. Some years, I've written absolutely nothing. I have a hard relationship with myself over it. That back and forth between getting it finished, and only writing when I'm inspired. Anyway, thanks for sharing your journey.
Thank you for reminding me that this is all part of it. The stepping away, rearranging, playing and getting "no where" is all part of it.
You're very welcome Alyssa!

Celebrating you! Thanks for a wonderful walk-n-talk this morning. 🦋
I love this. Revision is entirely a series of experiments in my limited experience (from which I am still working, first time around).

The process is different for everyone but I do think there's some difficulty involved, always!

Slow and steady is the way to go, I think.
Thanks for the reminder! I tend to be pretty hard on myself.
I think we all have that tendency!
